Cody Foster Everyday and Checking out for a bit!!

May 14th, 2007 by missduff

Calling all Cody Foster lovers.  Cody Foster has gone EVERYDAY.  For those of you that are part of his loyal following, you know that until recently he has done only Holiday Collections.  Not just any Holiday Collections, but the vintage inspired holiday collections we all love: village houses, bottle brush trees, and all the holiday icing that makes decorating for the holidays so magical.  These pieces are part of his Spring/Summer line- so fresh and vintagey.

If you have been a Miss Duffy’s customer for very long, you will know that vintage holiday is our  specialty. We are planning now for a vintage awe inspired Halloween and Christmas.  I know its hard to think about it when it is just warming up in most parts of the U.S., but in the retail world this is when we are planning for the cold again!  This is just a little teaser to get you to come again.  We will not have a huge on-line offering during the down times (non-holiday), but we do have the best, and I do mean the very best vintage holiday offering you will find on-line.  All of which you will be able to find here at Miss Duffy’s mid-July.  We will add everyday items all summer here and there, but I will be sure to blog about them when I do.

WE WILL NOT BE BLOGGING AGAIN UNTIL JUNE 1 TO GIVE US TIME TO RELOCATE.  SEE YOU ALL THEN.

And the Winner is…….Karla

May 7th, 2007 by missduff

First, I want to thank all you gals for coming over and entering our give away.  It was so much fun reading your posts.  I really am glad that I did not have to choose the best message for Winston, because it would have been really hard.  You girls came up with some great messages.  Second, I want to apologize for being late on announcing the winner.  We had a death in the family and have been in and out of town over the weekend, so I’m a bit behind.  Again……., I know!  I also want to apologize ahead of time for the lack of pictures.  My camera took its last pictures last week and refuses to download them.  I’m having to shop for a new camera, so I may be lacking pictures for a short while.  If you have any suggestions on purchasing a great digital, I’m all ears.  Now, for the moment you have all been waiting for…….the winner is Karla   ://sugarbeardesigns.blogspot.com/.  I will notify her shortly, if she does not find out here first.  Congrats Karla!  Winston will be in flight to your abode carrying your message:

Give Away

May 1st, 2007 by missduff

Ok girls, Miss Duffy’s is having their first ever GIVE AWAY.  The prize in question is Mr. Winston the glittery bird.  Just post on my blog before may 4.  Let me know what message this little bird should be carrying in his glass vase.  The message part is just for fun, so if your don’t feel up to it, just say Hi.  It will have no bearing on your chances of being a winner.  We will draw one lucky winner out of the nest on May 5.  If you feel too unlucky to enter, or don’t win, but want to purchase Winston, he is available on my website under the shopping category: All things that glitter, because he does.  www.missduffys.com

Now, aren’t these vintage buttons charming?  These little darlings were fashioned by the girls from Vintage Baby!  Owned and operated by two crafty friends of mine that just happen to be family too.  Don’t you just love when you get to have friends as family and family as friends?  I wish I had more of their things in my store to photograph, but it’s hard to keep their vintage inspired baby line in my store.  HINT…HINT.  They also sell their wares in the Mulberry Bush in Clinton Oklahoma.  I know a website is in the workings, so at some point in the near future, their vintage finds and creations will be available online.  I will surly blog about that when it happens.

The vintage style flash cards are the newest addition to my own store and they are displayed atop a Vintage Baby blanket.
